"After a week filled with basketball practices and track meets, my daughter, Annie, began to complain of left hip pain. She went to physical therapy for months, but nothing seemed to relieve her pain. Finally, Annie’s PT recommended that she see Dr. Domb and his team at the American Hip Institute & Orthopedic Specialists. Shortly thereafter, Annie was diagnosed with a labral tear and scheduled for surgery. Originally, the thought of surgery scared Annie and me, but speaking with Dr. Domb eased our fears - it was evident that we all shared the same goal - to allow Annie to participate in athletics pain-free once again.

Annie recovered well from her first hip surgery and returned to running track. She ran a few meets, but began to complain of hip pain again, now on the right side. Since we were now familiar with the process, I quickly emailed the American Hip Institute team. I was impressed by their efficiency in moving from onset of pain to diagnosis and surgery scheduling. It was exciting to see how quickly Annie bounced back from the second procedure. The rate at which her strength increased even impressed her physical therapist!
