I’m feeling like a rockstar, and without him I don’t know where I’d be right now.

"I had a Birmingham Hip Resurfacing done by the American Hip Institute in December 2014 after suffering through years of ongoing hip pain. Within three to four months after the surgery, I was able to return to the same physically impactful activities that I had been doing previously, including running. Prior to the surgery, I had already run fourteen consecutive Chicago Marathons, and after the surgery I was able to run a fifteenth with the new hip. Being able to return to such a strenuous activity has been incredible, and that level of activity has been able to continue even now – many years later – with next to no pain. I’ve even gotten into cycling after the surgery and that’s been a breeze for me.
For probably four years after the surgery, I’d find myself walking down the street with a huge smile on my face because that was not something I was able to do before surgery. I’m hoping to reach my twenty-fifth consecutive Chicago Marathon in the next couple of years and achieving that goal wouldn’t have been possible without the American Hip Institute!"
